Dear America, is this what we wanted?
Tell your elected officials: this is not what we wanted.
Americans want secure borders and a functioning immigration system, but reckless, heartless enforcement actions will never accomplish those things. Families are being separated without cause, children have been deported while sick, Christians fleeing persecution are being detained, and costly, overcrowded detention centers are rife with abuse and neglect. This is cruelty, not security.
Our elected officials must hear this message from us: we’ve had enough. We will not support an administration that deprives our neighbors of due process, human rights, or the rule of law. They must know that we will not stand for cruelty. Staying silent is no longer an option: not for us, and not for our representatives. Use our tool to ask your officials to speak up today.
Restore Humanitarian Protections.
Since taking office, President Trump has effectively shut down all humanitarian pathways for people to enter the United States. Humanitarian protections have historically included refugee resettlement, asylum, humanitarian parole, and Temporary Protected Status (TPS). These actions are in direct violation of current U.S. immigration laws and contradict long held humanitarian principles and our belief as people of faith that Jesus calls us to care for vulnerable people.
Urge President Trump to preserve Temporary Protected Status.
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is granted to certain individuals who are already in the U.S. and come from countries that are facing conditions or circumstances that prevent their safe return, such as conflict, natural disasters, or humanitarian crises. This designation ensures safety, stability, and justice for vulnerable communities. President Trump’s administration has indicated plans to restrict or end TPS for many recipients. Urge President Trump to preserve Temporary Protected Status (TPS) today!
Ask your legislators to support the Afghan Adjustment Act!
Tens of thousands of our Afghan neighbors who were evacuated during the U.S. military withdrawal in 2021 are still waiting in legal limbo. We’re calling on Congress to honor America’s promises to our allies and to pass legislation to protect Afghan allies and evacuees with permanent legal status. Join us in raising your voice for our Afghan neighbors!
Take Action for Dreamers.
An overwhelming majority of Americans agree that Dreamers should be able to stay in the United States permanently and keep contributing to our communities and economy. However, the many versions of the Dream Act introduced in the last 20 years have yet to be passed. We need Congress to finally take action so that our friends and neighbors can finally have the security of legal status. Raise your voice today to affirm that Dreamers deserve a path for their status on paper to match the reality that home is here.
