A federal judge has paused the Trump administration’s decision to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans. The protections were set to end on April 7th and would affect approximately 350,000 people.
A federal judge has temporarily restored funding for legal assistance for unaccompanied children after the Trump administration cut funding for the program that provides legal representation for migrant children who have entered the U.S. without a legal guardian.

The Trump administration admitted it made an “administrative error” in the deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran man living in Maryland with legal protections, to an El Salvadoran prison. However, they also stated that they do not believe they have the ability to bring him back to the U.S. because he is no longer in U.S. custody.
A new study found that approximately 1 in 12 Christians could be impacted by mass deportation, either by being deported themselves or having at least one family member deported, if the Trump administration follows through on its goal of removing all noncitizens who enter or remain in the country without authorization. A survey completed in December 2024 found that a large majority of Americans want violent criminals and those with final orders of deportation to be the focus immigration enforcement, not all people who are undocumented.
A travel ban affecting over 40 nations that reportedly do not meet the Trump administration’s vetting standards has been postponed indefinitely. This decision comes after approximately 300 visas for individuals from these countries have been revoked and three students with revoked visas are currently being held in remote detention centers in Louisiana.
